With Stuc, you can use a natural product indoors which, in comparison with other mineral wall finishes, is as hard as concrete and perfectly waterproof. This is only true if it is applied correctly.

A successful job with Stuc requires a perfect application and real craftsmanship

Despite its traditional origin, Stuc can be used for many applications and contributes to creating the atmosphere in old buildings as well as in new minimalistic architecture. This material can be used for a wide range of styles, as long as they require quality, solidness and refinement. From bathrooms with a Tadelakt look or glossy walls with colour nuances to a sparkling white, geometrical and smooth wall finish.

Composition

Stuc is like spreadable natural stone. It consists of several layers of Stuc paste which are applied on top of each other and optionally polished. In addition to the decorative aspect, Stuc is also maintenance-friendly and scratch-resistant. The process applies a film on the surface which makes it water-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

Stuc Granito, which is applied evenly in clean lines, creates a smooth painted effect with a slight granular texture when you touch it. When polished, Stuc Deco has a satin feel and more colour nuances, similar to a Tadelakt look.

Substrates

Stoopen & Meeus Stuc can be applied to all substrates which are solid, stable, dry and grease-free. Concrete, screed and walls are obvious substrates, but Stuc can also be applied directly on existing tiles, tables, existing coats of paint, work counters, MDF, sanitary construction elements, stairs, etc. It is recommended to apply StucPrimer for optimum adhesion and ease of use. A water barrier must of course be installed under the Stuc in wet spaces such as showers.

Colour

Pigments are used to colour Stuc and this means the material is generally available in natural, earthen colours and hues, from light sandy tones to deep dark colours. On the other hand, pristine white walls or black Tadelakt style are also possible.
